What we do — and what we are honest about not doing.

Massachusetts notary law sets clear rules. The notarial certificate — the acknowledgment or jurat block — must be in English under state statute. Our role with Arabic documents is to bridge the language gap completely and honestly.

We read Arabic documents with you. We explain what each section means. We verify your identity through any government-issued Arabic or English photo ID. Then we attach a Massachusetts-compliant English notarial certificate and seal the document. The content of the document may be entirely in Arabic. The certificate we attach is in English as required by law.

Important: Certified translation is a separate service. If your document needs a certified Arabic-to-English translation — for USCIS, a court or an educational institution — arrange that with a certified translator first. We then notarize the translated document or the translator’s certification. We are fluent in Arabic but we are a notary service, not a translation agency.
Massachusetts Law Note

Under Massachusetts notary law, the notarial certificate must be in English. This does not prevent us from notarizing documents written entirely in Arabic — it means the certificate we attach to the document is in English.

The signer must understand the document content in a language they speak fluently. Our Arabic fluency satisfies this requirement directly — no interpreter involved, no risk of miscommunication.

Do you read and write Arabic?
Yes. Our staff speaks, reads and writes Arabic fluently — along with English and French. We review Arabic-language document content with you before notarization and explain what you are signing in whichever language you prefer. No interpreter is needed for Arabic or French-speaking clients.
Can you notarize a document written entirely in Arabic?
Yes, with one important clarification. Massachusetts notary law requires the notarial certificate — the acknowledgment or jurat block — to be in English. The document content itself may be entirely in Arabic. We attach a Massachusetts-compliant English certificate to the document. The signer must understand the document in Arabic before signing — our staff fluency satisfies this requirement directly, without an interpreter.
Do you handle apostille for Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia?
Yes. We provide apostille service for Massachusetts documents going to all Arab nation consulates. Lebanon and Saudi Arabia require additional consular legalization beyond the apostille for certain document types. We clarify which path applies to your specific country and document before booking. Always confirm current requirements with your consulate — they change without notice.
Do I need to bring an interpreter?
No interpreter is needed for Arabic or French-speaking clients. Our staff is fluent in both. The entire appointment — document review, identity verification, oath administration and signing — is conducted in Arabic if you prefer. For Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole and other languages, please bring a trusted family member or professional interpreter, as Massachusetts law requires the signer to understand the document in a language they speak fluently.
Do you provide certified Arabic-to-English translation?
No. We are a notary public, not a certified translation service. We can review Arabic document content with you and explain it in English, but this is not a certified translation. If your document requires a certified translation — for USCIS, a court or an educational institution — arrange that with a certified translator first. We then notarize the translated document or the translator’s certification.
Can you notarize a power of attorney for property matters in Lebanon or Egypt?
Yes. We regularly notarize powers of attorney authorizing a representative in Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and other Arab countries to act on behalf of Massachusetts residents in property transactions and inheritance matters. These documents typically require apostille and — for Lebanon and some others — additional consular legalization. We walk through the full path with you at the time of booking.
How much does Arabic notary service cost?
In-office notarization starts at $45 per notarial act. Mobile visits to Lowell, Lawrence and Methuen include a travel fee confirmed in writing before booking. Apostille service has separate state fees ($6–$25 per document) plus any consular fees that vary by destination country. Yes. Same-day in-office and mobile appointments are available most weekdays. Call 978-424-4629 directly — online booking is slower for same-day requests. In-office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM, by appointment only. Saturday and Sunday mobile service is available with surcharges applied.
